Mark Briscoe Is All Elite
Tony Khan was the first to announce that current ROH Tag Team Champion Mark Briscoe is now All Elite and will remain a part of the AEW roster.
Mark and his brother Jay Briscoe have been part of Ring of Honor since the first days of that promotion, winning the ROH Tag Team Title thirteen times and being inducted into the ROH Hall of Fame in the spring of 2022. However, tragedy struck in January 2023 when Jay was killed in a car accident, leaving Mark Briscoe to carry on flying the flag for Dem Boys.
Mark Briscoe made his AEW debut on the 25th of January 2023 edition of Dynamite where he defeated another ROH stalwart Jay Lethal in a tribute match for his late brother. The whole roster stood with Briscoe on the stage after the show as they paid their respects to Jay.
On Dynamite in Laredo, Texas Mark Briscoe appeared in his second bout for the promotion, picking up another win – this time over Josh Woods. Following that win, Tony Khan confirmed Briscoe was now officially All Elite although he will also remain part of the Ring of Honor roster and will take part in the first set of ROH television tapings in the Khan-owned era of the promotion.
Mark Briscoe will continue with us in AEW + remains in ROH, it was great having him on #AEWDynamite tonight, and I'm excited for Mark to participate in the debut of the new @ringofhonor TV!
