Mariah May’s Championship Champagne Celebration Ends In Bloodshed

Mariah May Championship Champagne Celebration AEW Full Gear

Mariah May has betrayed another friend.

After Mariah May successfully defended her AEW Women’s Title against Anna Jay on the November 16th episode of Collision, a Championship Champagne Celebration was announced for Full Gear.

For the celebration, May would be joined by her friend Mina Shirakawa, who looks set for an extended stay with AEW according to Tony Khan.

Ahead of the event, Shirakawa pledged to be with May forever, however, the British star had other plans.

Mariah May’s Plan Backfires

To kick off the celebration, Shirakawa was out first and introduced May as photos of the pair adorned the stage. The Women’s Champion then addressed fans, commenting that there isn’t a woman alive who can beat her, before saying she couldn’t have accomplished what she has without Shirakawa.

Shirakawa said long may her friend reign over AEW while they toasted champagne. However, it quickly became apparent that May had something else on her mind. After saying it was time to celebrate, May slunk behind Shirakawa as she danced.

Grabbing a bottle of champagne, May tried to hit her friend, but she was caught and Shirakawa kicked the bottle out of her hand. Before May could gather herself, she was tackled off the stage and the pair crashed through a table below.

Shirakawa was the first to rise with blood dripping from her mouth as she kissed May’s forehead before being taken away.
