Mariah May’s AEW Title Match Made For Grand Slam

Mariah May

There will be more than a touch of glamour around AEW Grand Slam as Mariah May will be putting her title on the line in New York City.

Mariah May captured the AEW Women’s World Championship at All In when she defeated her former mentor Toni Storm in an emotional bout.

Since then May has made the women’s division in AEW her own but has faced a surprise challenge in recent weeks as Yuka Sakazaki has returned to the company.

On Dynamite in Wilkes-Barre, Sakazaki had her first AEW Dynamite bout since 2021 when she teamed with Queen Aminata to face Mariah May and Serena Deeb. Aminata and Sakazaki won the match by disqualification when Mariah May attacked The Magical Girl with her belt.
