Mariah May Set For New Challenge On AEW Dynamite

It looks like Mariah May has a new rival.

During All Out Zero Hour, Skye Blue made her first appearance on AEW television since breaking her ankle in a match against Hikaru Shida on Collision in July.

Blue said the Now Arena held a special place in her heart as it was where Tony Khan offered her a spot in the Casino Battle Royal in 2021. However, it wasn’t long before the star was interrupted by Women’s Champion Mariah May. The Brit said she wanted to hold her title celebration, but didn’t want to do it in Chicago.

May’s appearance sparked a war of words with Skye Blue who was quick to stick up for the Chicago faithful. As they exchanged insults, May kicked one of Blue’s crutches from under her, but as she looked to continue the assault, Queen Aminata ran out to chase her off.

In a backstage digital exclusive after the confrontation, Queen Aminata laid down a challenge to May for Dynamite on September 11th.

“Mariah May, so you want to pick on somebody with a broken ankle? Well, why don’t you pick on somebody with two good ankles and more juice than you could ever handle? I also know one day, Skye Blue’s going to kick your ass, but this Wednesday, I’m going to do it first. So Mariah, you can be the champion, you can be The Glamour, but you will never, never be the one and only Queen,”

The match is yet to be officially confirmed by AEW.
