Major WWE Title Match Announced For Raw
One WWE championship will be on the line when Raw heads to Raleigh, North Carolina, on September 29th.
Rusev’s return to WWE left many fans expecting big things, but so far, the highlight of his run has been a feud with his former League of Nations partner, Sheamus. The Bulgarian Brute picked up a win over Sheamus in a Good Ol’ Fashioned Donnybrook match at Clash in Paris to end that story, and now he’s looking for gold.
Rusev made clear recently that he’d set his sights on the WWE Intercontinental Championship currently held by Dominik Mysterio. Mysterio became a double champion when he captured the AAA Mega Championship from El Hijo del Vikingo at the recent Worlds Collide.
Rusev Going After WWE Gold
On the September 22nd edition of Raw, Rusev defeated The Judgment Day’s JD McDonagh, and following that win, a title match was made for the next Monday night show with Rusev challenging Dominik Mysterio for his Intercontinental Title.

That show will also see Bayley face Raquel Rodriguez after The Role Model turned heel again on Raw as her battle with herself continues. There will also be a rematch from Wrestlepalooza as The Usos team once again to face Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. Jey Uso was put in concussion protocol following Wrestlepalooza due to his own chair shot.
