Major WWE Star Undergoes Surgery
A WWE star recently went under the knife. The star in question is ex-United States Champion Sheamus.
The Celtic Warrior is currently away from WWE programming. His last TV appearance was on the November 17, 2025, episode of Monday Night Raw, held at the world-famous Madison Square Garden.
On that night, he joined forces with John Cena and Rey Mysterio in a high-profile six-man tag team match against The Judgment Day (Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, and JD McDonagh).
Shortly after that event, WWE issued an official statement confirming that Sheamus was not medically cleared to compete further due to an injury.
This unfortunate development forced him to withdraw from the “Last Time is Now” tournament, a competition that was designed to determine John Cena’s last opponent for his retirement match.
Adding to the update, Sheamus’ wife, Isabella Revilla-Farrelly, recently shared through her official Instagram account that the WWE veteran had undergone shoulder surgery.
She revealed that the couple traveled together to Birmingham, Alabama, for his shoulder surgery. As of now, there is no confirmed timeline for his return to action.

WWE Star Sheamus’ Retirement Plans
Last month, Sheamus appeared on the RAW Recap podcast, where he talked about his retirement. The 47-year-old veteran stated that he’s not ready to retire yet and will keep wrestling until his body physically gives up.
I think it’s the intensity that’s something that I’ve always leaned into, and that’s really what sets me apart. I feel like that’s why I’m still in the game. You know, people talk about John Cena retiring, and I think he’s like a year older than me, and I feel like I’m just getting started. Last week, I was in there with JD [McDonagh], man, and just ripping it up.
The day I don’t go out there and give 100% or give it everything that I possibly have every single match—I don’t care if it’s RAW, SmackDown, NXT, or if it’s Main Event that they tape before the show—I won’t go out there and not give everything I have in every single match, and especially with my neck.
