Major WWE Star Admits They Only Returned For The Money
Cash rules everything around one of WWE’s biggest names.
After a crushing defeat to Liv Morgan on the May 27, 2024, edition of Monday Night Raw, Becky Lynch disappeared from television and allowed her WWE contract to expire.
While most observers expected the star to eventually return to WWE, there was no timeline even suggested for a comeback, and there were hints her full-time career was over.
However, Lynch eventually put pen to paper on a new contract and made her return at WrestleMania 41 to team with Lyra Valkyria. Together, the pair won the Women’s Tag Team Championship, only to lose it 24 hours later.
The Man later admitted that she took out Valkyria’s original partner, Bayley, to get into the match and cemented her heel turn with a vicious beatdown of Valkyria.
Becky Lynch Loves That WWE Money
While in conversation with ET Now, Lynch was asked why she decided to return to WWE after spending almost a year away from the ring. According to Lynch, the answer is simple. Money. Well, that and the chance to destroy the dreams of everyone else on the roster.
“The money. The money. The money brought me back.
The money and the fame. The hunger, the power, and the desire to take away opportunities from everyone else. All the other women on the roster—I want to hold them down. I want to take everything for myself because I’m the best to ever do it.
And it’s not just me saying it. No, Sports Illustrated says it. ET says it… And that’s not hyperbole… Everyone says it. It’s indisputable. It’s a fact. I’m the greatest. I make everyone better.”
That settles that, then.
At Money In The Bank, Becky Lynch is scheduled to challenge Lyra Valkyria for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship one more time at Money In The Bank. If Lynch wins, Valkyria will be forced to raise her hand, but i she loses, she’ll be unable to face Valkyria for the title again.
