A former champion in NXT is heading to the WWE Raw brand and has a big match for their official debut.

In the main event of WWE NXT on May 27th, Stephanie Vaquer defended her NXT Women’s Title against Jacy Jayne, who has been part of the NXT brand for nearly four years and has never held a singles title.

Going into the match, most people likely assumed it would be another win for Vaquer as a dominant champion, but instead, Jayne’s allies in Fatal Influence proved to be a factor. Jayne got the upset victory, leaving with the NXT Women’s Title.

Whenever a champion loses a match in NXT, fans have learned to speculate that the person may be moved to the WWE main roster. It has happened so many times over the last decade, so that’s why fans feel that way.

WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce officially announced on social media that Stephanie Vaquer will be joining the Monday Night Raw brand.

It’s a quick rise for Vaquer, who made her NXT debut in October 2024. She held the NXT Women’s North American Title, won the NXT Women’s Title to become a double champion, forfeited the NA Title, and now, after losing the NXT Women’s Title, she’s heading to Monday Night Raw.

The news confirms a report that Stephanie Vaquer is heading to the WWE main roster. Jordynne Grace was mentioned in that report as well, but she hasn’t made her SmackDown debut yet.

Stephanie Vaquer Competing In WWE Money In The Bank Qualifying Match

In the announcement video from Adam Pearce, he also announced that Vaquer will be in a Money in the Bank qualifying match on WWE Monday Night Raw on June 2nd against Liv Morgan and Ivy Nile.

Vaquer will look to become the sixth woman in the Women’s Money in the Bank, joining Naomi, Giulia, Roxanne Perez, Alexa Bliss, and Rhea Ripley.

Giulia and Perez are also former NXT Women’s Champions who recently got called up to the main roster, so it’s possible that half the field could be recently called up NXT stars.
