Major WWE Star Expected To Miss December 8th Monday Night Raw

A big name won’t be at WWE Monday Night Raw on December 8th.

The next major WWE event is Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13th, and after that, it’s a long way until the Royal Rumble PLE on January 31st.

At the company’s last Premium Live Event, known as Survivor Series, the World Champion CM Punk led a team that lost the match when he was pinned by Bron Breakker. It was a controversial finish to that Men’s WarGames because a masked attacker climbed into the double cage, went into the ring, superkicked Punk, and hit The Stomp on Punk. Breakker capitalized with a Spear on Punk to win the match.

For fans wanting Punk to do a promo on the December 1st Raw about the cheap attack, there wasn’t one. On December 2nd, CM Punk and his wife, AJ Lee, announced their beloved dog Larry had died, which is likely why Punk issued that episode of Raw.

As for the December 8th episode of Raw in Kansas City, it has been reported by PWInsider Elite that Punk won’t be at the show.

The reason for CM Punk missing Raw on December 8th is that he is on set filming for the upcoming Netflix romantic comedy “The Bodyguard.”

In the film, Punk will play Doghouse, who is “a physically intimidating member of the security detail, who is known for his loyalty and humor.”

A synopsis of the film is below.

In the 2022 novel written by Katherine Center, a no-nonsense bodyguard is assigned to protect a charming action star over the holidays, leading sparks to fly and secrets to unravel, with Christmas getting a whole lot more complicated.
