Major WWE Star Dubbed “Reborn Chyna”
A wrestler from the Attitude Era believes a current WWE superstar has some Chyna characteristics.
Chyna was one of the most unique characters in the history of WWE. She started as a silent bodybuilder who was the “muscle” supporting Hunter Hearst Helmsley.
When D-Generation X was formed in the fall of 1997, Shawn Michaels and Triple H were joined by Chyna, who continued to grow as a character while getting more comfortable in the ring. As The Attitude Era progressed, she became more of a featured superstar.
Chyna made history as the first and only woman to win the Intercontinental Title in 1999, and it’s unlikely there will be another woman to achieve the same feat.
Rikishi is a WWE Hall of Famer who was a big part of the Attitude Era, so he was close with the woman that WWE dubbed the “Ninth Wonder of the World.”
Jade Cargill Reminds Rikishi Of Chyna
While speaking on his Off The Top podcast, Rikishi had the DX legend on his mind when talking about former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Jade Cargill.
“You don’t get specimens that look like that often. That’s like a reborn [version] of Chyna… the black version. You see her, she looks like she looked like a goddess. You can stick her in a Marvel movie, and that movie will be a hit.”
The legendary Chyna, whose real name was Joanie Laurer, died at the age of 46 in 2016. She was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame with D-Generation X as a group, but not as a solo star yet. Many fans and wrestlers feel like she should be inducted as a solo star, but there is no indication that it will happen.
