Major WWE Star Confirms New Long-Term Contract
A top WWE star will be staying with the company.
There was a point in 2023 when it seemed Randy Orton might never wrestle again. He’d undergone back surgery to repair a long-running problem that left him struggling to stand for long periods, and doctors advised him to hang up his boots.
However, The Viper had other plans. Orton returned to action at Survivor Series 2023 looking better than ever and he’s more beloved by fans than ever.
Since coming back, the star has repeatedly said he’d love to wrestle until he’s 50, and it was recently reported that Randy Orton had signed a new five-year deal. Following the report, Orton confirmed in a new interview with Vincent Beltran for Marca that he had re-signed for five years. The deal will take him past his 49th birthday.
“I just signed a five-year contract extension and I don’t have to rush. I have all the time in the world as far as I’m concerned. I feel great. I feel healthy,”
Randy Orton Targeting Another WWE World Title
Back in the ring, Randy Orton is preparing to face World Heavyweight Champion Gunther at Bash In Berlin.
The match was made after Orton confronted Gunther on the August 5th episode of Raw. The Austrian star was coming off the back of a controversial win at SummerSlam against Damian Priest that saw him claim the gold. The pair have a history stretching back to King & Queen of the Ring where Gunther defeated Orton in the finals.
