Major Update On Rey Mysterio’s WWE Return Plans
Rey Mysterio has been missing from WWE for several months, but it seems his comeback could be closer than ever.
Rey Mysterio was pulled from WrestleMania 41 at the 11th hour after suffering a significant injury. The veteran had been due to face El Grande Americano, but 24 hours earlier on SmackDown, he sustained an injury while teaming with Dragon Lee and Rey Fenix to defeat American Made.
In the days after the event, it was confirmed that Mysterio had suffered a torn groin that required surgery. Impressively, Mysterio wanted to compete at WrestleMania despite the injury before being stood down by doctors.
Rey Mysterio previously hinted at an August return to action, but that came and went without the WWE Hall of Famer making it back to the ring. But it seems a return could now be imminent.
Rey Mysterio Working To Get Cleared For WWE Comeback
PWInsider has reported that Rey Mysterio is expected at the WWE Performance Center this week in an attempt to get medically cleared for a return to action.
Fans did see the star at the recent AAA Worlds Collide show as he was forced to present his son, Dominik Mysterio, with his newly won AAA Mega Championship.
