Major Surprise In R-Truth’s New WWE Deal
R-Truth’s return to WWE wasn’t an easy affair. It was Nick Khan who finally managed to seal the deal with the veteran.
Previously, the 53-year-old had refused a new contract because it listed lesser money than what he had already been making with the company.
Even though not all the details of his current contract haven’t been revealed, it seems there are a few particularly interesting elements to it.
This can be R-Truth’s final run with WWE
Currently, Truth will continue his WWE journey under the name of Ron Killings. He specifically requested for this to be a part of the newly-negotiated deal so his final run in WWE would be in his name, and he could immediately begin using it in other promotions after his time with the wrestling juggernaut is over.
Apart from, it seems that the company had drawn up a contract that will enable R-Truth to have a true final run with the company. It has been described to be a deal which is rather different from other working talent deals within the company.

Furthermore, the management had wanted Truth to stay with the company but in backstage roles, which hadn’t worked out. As per Dave Meltzer, the only reason he has a new contract with the wrestling juggernaut is because of the fans.
He’s back because of the fans, that’s the deal. He’s back because of the fans, they [WWE] saw the outcry. They [WWE] basically tore apart what they were gonna do [at MITB] when they brought him back and wanted to have the big moment.
It remains to be seen how the story of Ron Killings unfolds in the coming days.
