Major Star To Miss WWE Raw Netflix Premiere
A big name will miss WWE’s big night on Netflix.
On the November 8th episode of SmackDown, Kevin Owens hit Randy Orton with a devastating Piledriver, taking him out of action.
The pair had been at war for several weeks, with a match at Crown Jewel being called off before it even began as they got into a brawl. Owens has been a man on a mission since attacking Cody Rhodes in the parking lot following Bad Blood, and Orton was just another victim.
Following the attack, Orton was taken out of the arena on a stretcher.
However, there had been speculation Orton could be back very soon, but it seems fans will be kept waiting a little longer.
Randy Orton To Continue WWE Absence
In a report on social media, Sportskeeda’s Dr. Chris Featherstone noted that Orton won’t be on Raw when it debuts on Netflix.
I’ve had a bunch of people inquire about the status of Randy Orton regarding January 6. I’ve been informed that he is currently not scheduled to be a part of the debut episode of #WWERaw on Netflix.
While Randy Orton won’t be there, many of the company’s biggest names will be in action. It’s already been confirmed that CM Punk will meet Seth Rollins one-on-one, and Roman Reigns is set to clash with Solo Sikoa in Tribal Combat.
Elsewhere, Liv Morgan will defend the Women’s World Title against Rhea Ripley, and John Cena will begin his retirement tour. It’s expected the episode will also feature appearances from the likes of Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair, and Logan Paul who has become part of the Raw roster.
Although there’s been no official announcement, it’s long been rumoured that The Rock will be part of the show.
