Major Star May Return at WWE SummerSlam After 4-Month Absence
WWE SummerSlam 2025 is just a month away!
The fans might not have seen the last of Travis Scott inside a WWE ring. The Grammy-winning artist, who’s already made a splash on WWE programming earlier this year, may return to WWE at SummerSlam after being absent from TV since WrestleMania 41.
Travis Scott Was Scheduled to Appear at WWE Money in the Bank 2025
Scott was originally expected to appear at Money in the Bank, but plans changed late in the creative process.
According to WrestleVotes Q&A on Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, there was even merchandise designed for his scheduled appearance that never saw the light of day.
“We put it out prior to Money in the Bank that he was planned to be at Money in the Bank,” the report stated. “I can go as far as to tell you guys there was a lot of Travis Scott merchandise that was designed with his logo and his imagery with the Money in the Bank location and logo and date, all that stuff. Then, the Ron ‘Truth’ Killings stuff happened, and they changed creative.”
“I don’t know if that interacted with Travis Scott or not, but somewhere along those lines, the Travis Scott plans changed. Did they push it into SummerSlam? Possibly. I do know he was supposed to be at Money in the Bank. There was a whole line of merchandise designed for him. I’d imagine he’s coming again at some point, Joe, I just don’t know when.” [From 6:30 to 7:20]
Scott made a surprise appearance at Elimination Chamber 2025, playing a pivotal role in John Cena’s shocking heel turn. That momentum carried into WrestleMania 41, where Scott returned once again, this time helping The Last Real Champion defeat Cody Rhodes in a major swerve that sent shockwaves through the wrestling world.
Though he was rumored to pop back up at Money in the Bank, that never came to fruition. However, with SummerSlam right around the corner, the door is wide open. As WWE’s second-biggest Premium Live Event of the year, SummerSlam is the perfect stage for Scott’s return.
