Major Star Believed To Have Signed Secret WWE Deal

Triple H WWE Raw

Speculation around a former WWE World Champion continues to run wild.

It’s no secret that Kevin Owens could become a free agent in early 2025. During a recent interview, the star admitted he was yet to begin tasks with WWE, although it’s understood that has since changed.

Despite an expectation that he’ll stay with WWE, Owens has long been linked with AEW given his friendships with several key roster figures. But it seems the Tony Khan-led promotion could miss out on their man after it was reported that Kevin Owens is close to signing a new WWE contract.

However, a new update has suggested a deal could already be signed.

Has Kevin Owens Already Signed A New WWE Contract?

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, some believe Owens could have already signed a new contract as far back as August. However, there remains no official confirmation of his status.

Regarding Owens and his contract, there are a lot of different stories going around. There are reports that he’s close to signing, or hasn’t signed, could go to AEW in January when his deal is up.

I do know that multiple people in wrestling have said dating back to Bash in Berlin that they believed he’s signed but it’s being kept quiet, but that’s wrestling rumors that we haven’t been able to directly confirm.

Those closest to the situation have not said anything about any of the different versions of the story out and very clearly whatever the story is, he wants it secretive for now.

Kevin Owens has issued an ultimatum to WWE regarding his current predicament on SmackDown after he launched parking lot attacks against both Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton.
