Major Star About To Become WWE Free Agent
One star tipped to be a future WWE Champion is about to become one of the most hotly sought-after free agents.
NXT is responsible for bringing some of the very top stars of the last decade to prominence in WWE. Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Asuka, and Kevin Owens are just the tip of a massive iceberg that has made the step from NXT to the WWE main roster and found success.
The next generation of NXT stars is hoping to follow in their footsteps, and perhaps no star is set to shine brighter than that of Je’Von Evans.
The 21-year-old star has been tipped to become a future world champion in WWE, despite his never holding gold on the NXT brand. And it seems time is running out for that to happen.
Je’Von Evans Moving To WWE Main Roster
On the December 22nd edition of Raw, Evans was in action as he defeated Rayo Americano. During the bout, it was noted that while Evans is officially still part of the NXT roster, he is soon going to become a free agent and will be entertaining offers from both Raw and SmackDown. Raw General Manager Adam Pearce told Evans on the show that he wanted to talk after Evans’ match as he made his play to try and lure the exciting, young star to WWE’s red brand.
Je’Von Evans was part of the line-up for Saturday Night’s Main Event, where John Cena had his last match. Evans teamed with TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater, losing to current World Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Dragon Lee in a non-title match.
