Major Plans Revealed For WWE Star’s Return After Year-Long Absence
It seems WWE has some big plans in place for one missing star who has not been seen in the company for a year.
Ilja Dragunov has been out of action since suffering a torn ACL in a house show match against Gunther back in September 2024. It’s been a long road back to action for Dragunov, and as of yet, there is still no sign of him. But that could be about to change.
BodySlam.net has reported that WWE is planning to have Ilja Dragunov be the next feud for Rusev. The report noted that Dragunov has either already been cleared or is close to being cleared to return to the ring. Additionally, Dragunov has recently been spotted training at the WWE Performance Center without wearing any knee support.
Rusev Eyeing Up WWE Gold
Rusev has been embroiled in a feud with Sheamus in recent months and finally put away the Celtic Warrior once and for all in a Good Ol’ Fashioned Donnybrook match at Clash in Paris. The Bulgarian Brute has now made clear he’s got his eyes on the WWE Intercontinental Championship currently held by Dominik Mysterio.
Mysterio is currently at the centre of a feud with AJ Styles. However, Styles could have his sights set elsewhere after dropping a pipe bomb promo on Raw.
