Major NXT Star Makes WWE Raw Debut

After Seth Rollins returned to NXT to defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Bron Breakker, he found an unlikely ally who proved handy on Raw.

Seth Rollins successfully defended his title against Bron Breakker on NXT but Finn Balor sought to have the last word on the matter as he attacked Rollins after that match. NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams came to Rollins’ aid after they encountered each other earlier in the night, chasing off The Judgment Day star.

Carmelo Hayes was in attendance on Raw in Savannah, Georgia at the invitation of Seth Rollins with Hayes sitting ringside for Rollins’ promo on the show. Finn Balor looked to get the upper hand once again ahead of his title shot at Money In The Bank as he tried to jump Rollins with a steel chair. With the action heading outside the ring, Hayes grabbed the chair away from Balor to stop him in his tracks once again.

That set up a bout between Hayes and Balor later in the night with Finn Balor managing to pick up a hard-fought win over the NXT Champion in his first match ever on WWE’s flagship show.

It will be a busy few days for Carmelo Hayes as he is set to defend his NXT Championship against Baron Corbin on the 27th of June edition of NXT TV.
