WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre have been at each other’s throats for many months now. The two started their feud before September’s Wrestlepalooza, and it hasn’t come to an end yet.

In the meantime, Cody is also scheduled to go up against the NXT Champion, Oba Femi, at tomorrow’s Saturday Night’s Main Event. The two are set to collide in what will be The Ruler’s official in-ring debut on the main roster.

Cody was heading to the ring before the SmackDown General Manager updated him about the situation regarding Drew McIntyre. He had extended an invitation to Drew for tonight’s SmackDown, but he didn’t show up.

Cody Rhodes got the show underway after being told that Drew had sent a legal notice claiming an unsafe working environment, and Aldis informed that he would deal with this personally.

He was addressing McIntyre’s actions in front of the crowd, but before he could go any further, Cody was interrupted by his Saturday Night’s Main Event Opponent, Oba Femi.

Oba claimed that Cody Rhodes should be worried about facing him instead of Drew McIntyre, claiming that his time is up, and Oba’s time is now. The segment ended with the Undisputed WWE Champion reminding Oba that he’s happy that he looks up to John Cena, but he defeated Cena for the title, before walking away from the ring.
