Major Names In TNA Have Contracts That Will Expire Soon

There are some big names in TNA that could be free agents if the company doesn’t sign them to new deals.

The biggest TNA show of the year is Bound For Glory, and it takes place this Sunday, October 12th, at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts.

One of the big matches at Bound for Glory will see The Hardys duo of Matt & Jeff Hardy face off against WWE & TNA Hall of Famers Team 3D’s Brother Ray & Brother D-Von, aka The Dudley Boyz.

Since the Hardys are the TNA Tag Team Champions, their “One Final Table” match is for those titles, but that’s not all. The Hardys won the WWE NXT Tag Team Titles on the October 7th edition of NXT, so that means the TNA & NXT Tag Team Titles are on the line at Bound for Glory.

Regarding The Hardys’ future in TNA, the future Hall of Fame brothers signed one-year deals with TNA in November 2024, so their contracts are set to expire this November, according to Fightful Select.

TNA Wants To Keep The Hardys

It was added by Fightful that “the deal has been mutually beneficial and a lot of positive has emerged from it,” while noting that the Hardys often stay longer than expected to meet fans as part of meet and greets at shows.

As for the Hardys’ future, Fightful was informed by TNA sources that the brothers’ contracts will expire next month, unless a new deal is reached. TNA hopes to keep them under contract.

Fightful also added that sources in TNA claim that “no less than a dozen contracts are up between now and the end of the year,” so some people could leave, but many of them are expected to re-sign with the company.

Matt Hardy has said on his podcast and in interviews that he wants The Hardys to return to WWE one day, so perhaps when their deals are up, they could return “home” to WWE instead of staying with TNA long term.
