Major IMPACT Wrestling Contract Ending Imminently

Impact Wrestling

A top star in IMPACT Wrestling could be set to leave the promotion, according to a new report.

It has been reported by Fightful Select that the contract of former IMPACT World Champion Sami Callihan is set to expire at the end of September.

IMPACT held television tapings in Memphis this past Friday & Saturday, so any content featuring Callihan going forward has already been filmed while his contract will expire before the next taping.

Callihan has worked for IMPACT since 2017. Fightful added that there is interest from both sides regarding Callihan possibly staying in the company, but it’s not known if that will happen.

Since his contract is set to expire, Callihan is able to speak to other wrestling companies.

Prior to working for IMPACT Wrestling, Callihan also had a run in WWE on the NXT brand, he was in NJPW, Lucha Underground and MLW as well. In addition to that, he also helps to promote the successful indy wrestling company Pro Wrestling REVOLVER.

IMPACT Wrestling’s Sami Callihan used to be Solomon Crowe in WWE

In the summer of 2013, Callihan signed with WWE and was given the name Solomon Crowe. As Crowe, he was given a hacker gimmick with videos teasing him doing some hacking in the promotion, but they never went that far with it. Crowe had his NXT debut match in March 2015, but by November of that year, he was released by the company.

During his IMPACT Wrestling career, Callihan was able to become the company’s World Champion in 2019 when he held the gold for 79 days. Callihan lost the title to Tessa Blanchard, who became the first woman to hold the World Title in IMPACT.

Callihan is also married to Havok, who is a former Knockouts Champion and works for IMPACT Wrestling as well.
