Major Changes Coming To WWE Performance Center

Triple H WWE Performance Center

Change is coming to WWE developmental.

Back in 2013, WWE opened the Performance Center with plans for it to serve as the company’s in-house wrestling school. The facility replaced the training school for former developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling.

No matter their experience, all new signings usually pass through the Performance Center before debuting on television. But, a major shift is on the way.

According to Wrestle Votes, the Performance Center will be moving from Orlando, Florida to Las Vegas, Nevada. TKO Group COO and President Mark Shapiro reportedly gave employees the news.

According to a source there was an all employee meeting today at WWE HQ in Stamford hosted by Mark Shapiro. I’m told the biggest news to come out of the meeting is that the WWE Performance Center will be moving to Las Vegas in the near future.

Although unrelated to this news, it was announced back in May that WrestleMania 41 will also be held in Las Vegas.

The change sees the company become increasingly aligned with UFC, with the MMA giant’s headquarters, Performance Institute, and Apex Center already in Vegas.

WWE Making Changes To NXT

Meanwhile, a different report has claimed WWE will be making changes to NXT when the show moves to the CW Network on October 1st.

According to the report, the sports entertainment giant will look to take NXT tapings outside of the Performance Center on a regular basis. Furthermore, the company is hoping the switch to the CW will give younger fans a gateway to Raw and SmackDown.

To celebrate the move, NXT will come live from the All State Arena in Chicago on October 1st with a special appearance from CM Punk. Seven days later, WWE’s third brand will head to the Enterprise Center in St. Louis with Randy Orton.
