Major Becky Lynch Match Added To WWE Evolution

Becky Lynch will face two rivals at WWE Evolution.

At Money In The Bank, Becky Lynch defeated Lyra Valkyria to become just the second winner of the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. The pair had been locked in an increasingly personal rivalry since the night after WrestleMania, where Lynch turned on her tag team partner.

Just 24 hours earlier, Lynch made her WWE return to team with Valkyria and win the Women’s Tag Team Championship after Bayley was mysteriously taken out. It was subsequently revealed that Lynch was also behind the assault.

Lynch beating Valkyria did little to dampen their rivalry, and when Bayley returned, she also made a beeline for the champion. This saw Bayley challenge Lynch on Raw, but the match ended in a disqualification thanks to interference from Valkyria.

Becky Lynch Set For Triple Threat Match

As announced by Raw General Manager Adam Pearce, Lynch will now defend the Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Bayley and Lyra Valkyria at Evolution on July 13. He added that the champion will be heading to Raw to address her new challengers.

“Speaking of Evolution, I can now confirm Becky Lynch will defend her Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Bayley and Lyra Valkyria in a triple threat match and The Man will be live on the flagship Monday night to talk all about it.”

The announcement comes after it was confirmed that Naomi will face Jade Cargill at the same event in a huge WrestleMania rematch. To add even more spice, the clash with be a No Holds Barred Match.
