Major Bad News For WWE Raw On Netflix
WWE might want to avert its eyes from the latest update on how Raw is faring on Netflix.
2025 started with a bang for WWE as the company began a multi-billion-dollar deal with streaming giant Netflix, as it became the new home for Raw in the United States.
Around the world, Netflix became the home for all WWE programming in many regions as the sports entertainment monolith, now under the control of TKO Group, embraces the streaming age.
The first episode of Raw on Netflix saw Roman Reigns emerge as the one true Tribal Chief as he defeated Solo Sikoa, Rhea Ripley dethroned Liv Morgan to become Women’s World Champion, and in one of the biggest grudge matches in company history, CM Punk beat Seth Rollins.
That show is also memorable for being the last WWE appearance of the late Hulk Hogan. Hogan appeared on the show, flanked by Jimmy Hart, but was booed unmercifully by the Los Angeles crowd.
Stranger Things Forces WWE Out Of Top 10
Now, it’s been reported that the November 24th edition of Raw did not crack the top ten most viewed English-language shows on Netflix globally, marking the first time this has happened.
The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer shed more light on the situation, explaining that it did not necessarily mean Raw suffered from a collapse in viewers:
Because of the debut of Stranger Things and its multiple episodes, Raw last Monday 11/24 was not in the top ten among English TV shows for the first time. So no numbers at all are available nor will they be until likely January for this past week. The No. 10 show did 3,962,000 worldwide views, far more than Raw ever does, so this is not an indication at all that Raw did a bad number.
Stranger Things occupied five of the top ten places on the most viewed list for its different seasons. Season 5 of the hit show topped the rankings with just under 60 million views.
