Major Backstage Name Quits AEW
AEW is looking to freshen up things behind the scenes as a major name quits Tony Khan’s company.
Jimmy Jacobs has quit AEW after just a year in the company where he worked as both a producer and a member of the creative team.
Fightful Select reported that Jacobs has now finished up with Tony Khan’s company after effectively resigning with the suggestion that Jacobs had been burnt out lately. The two sides are said to remain on amicable terms and AEW is looking at the situation as a way of freshening up their creative team.
Jimmy Jacobs Joined AEW From TNA
Jacobs joined AEW in June 2023 following a six-year stint in TNA. Prior to that Jacobs worked backstage in WWE but was fired by the company after he took a photo with Bullet Club during the Cody Rhodes-led “invasion” of WWE which was featured on the Being The Elite YouTube show.
During his time in All Elite Wrestling, Jimmy Jacobs continued his in-ring career on the independent scene and wrestled twice for Ring of Honor – the promotion where Jacobs made his name many years ago.
His final match in ROH saw Jacobs have a prank played on him by the production team as he received the rest of the pyro from the Canadian tour during his entrance – and it was a lot of pyro – before he was decimated by Satnam Singh in less than a minute.
Jimmy Jacobs returned to ROH and got the MOST EXCESSIVE PYRO.
Holy shit, LMFAO.
