Major AEW Star Willing to Fight Jake Paul

Jake Paul WWE

Jake Paul has become one of boxing’s most polarizing names.

With a professional record that includes wins over former MMA fighters and fellow influencers, he’s managed to bridge the gap between entertainment and combat sports. Whether you love him or hate him, Paul’s name gets people talking and watching. Now, it seems another big name is ready to answer the call if the YouTuber-turned-boxer ever comes knocking.

Bobby Lashley Open to Face Jake Paul

During a recent interview with WFAA, top AEW star Bobby Lashley was asked if he’d consider stepping into the ring with Jake Paul. While The Almighty admitted that he may not be the “perfect matchup” for Jake Paul, that didn’t stop him from expressing serious interest in a bout.

“Jake is doing some big things in the fight world,” Lashley said. “He’s helping out boxing tremendously because he’s bringing a lot of eyes to it, and the fighters that are fighting on his card are getting paid really well.”

“I don’t know if I’m the right matchup for him. I think what he needs is some more like seasoned boxers to fight because he’s good, yeah, he’s actually good, so if he’s good, he needs to keep fighting boxers that can legitimize him more.”

That said, if the chance came, the AEW star wouldn’t hesitate.

“If I had an opportunity to box him, 100% I’d do it tomorrow. You know, I stay in good shape, let’s go hit some mitts, let’s do some sparring, let’s get ready for it, I’d be ready, I’d sign a contract. I’m not one of those guys that’s like ‘I’m signing the contract ’cause I wanna spit in your face and talk trash’, I’m not that guy.”

“I’m the kind of guy that I love competition, so I’d love to be able to fight him and see what he’s all about, see how good he is.” [11:45 – 12:40]

Bobby Lashley made waves by signing with AEW in September 2024, adding to a decorated resume that includes multiple world title runs in WWE, a successful MMA career, and years of dominance in pro wrestling.
