Major AEW Star Out Of Action Due To Injury
A former World Champion will be missing from the AEW ring due to an injury.
Bobby Lashley made his AEW debut in the fall of 2024 and quickly reunited with some close friends, MVP and Shelton Benjamin.
The former WWE and TNA World Champion Lashley joined MVP and Shelton Benjamin to create The Hurt Syndicate in AEW. Those three men were known as The Hurt Business in WWE earlier in the decade. Upon their departures from WWE, they decided to become All Elite together.
While the group had a storyline that saw MJF join the group earlier in 2025, that angle was dropped, and the trio of Lashley, Benjamin, and MVP has remained together. As a tag team, Lashley and Benjamin have been AEW Tag Team Champions as well.
AEW’s Bobby Lashley Dealing With Significant Injury
Unfortunately for The Hurt Syndicate, the 49-year-old powerhouse Bobby Lashley will be on the sidelines for the foreseeable future, which was first reported earlier in the week.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Lashley has a significant injury.
“MVP noted on Collision that Bobby Lashley was injured. The only thing we know is the injury is legit and it’s significant.
But the actual injury hasn’t been disclosed. He’s not going to be around at least for a while and Shelton Benjamin will be working singles for now unless they add a new team member.”
Bobby Lashley has been a pro wrestler for most of the last 20 years, and he’s most known for his WWE run. He’s a former 2-time WWE Champion and also a former 4-time TNA World Champion. Lashley also had an impressive 15-2 record in MMA fights, but he never competed in the UFC.
We all wish Bobby Lashley all the best as he recovers from whatever injury he is dealing with.
