Major AEW Star On Verge Of Comeback

Adam Copeland in AEW.

Another top AEW star will be back in the ring soon.

During AEW Dynamite Holiday Bash, FTR appeared in a pre-taped segment to address their status. The promo came after Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler were attacked by Jon Moxley and the Death Riders on Collision.

The former Tag Team Champions explained that they won’t wrestle again in 2024, but they will be back for Fight For The Fallen on January 1st. The taping is set to come live from their hometown of Asheville, North Carolina which was recently left devastated by Hurricane Helene.

In the promo, Wheeler and Harwood teased that they wouldn’t be returning to fight the Death Riders alone, sparking speculation they could be joined by Adam Copeland who also lives in the area.

Adam Copeland To Make AEW Return Imminently

Following that tease on Dynamite, it’s been reported by Fightful Select that Copeland is expected to appear on the show. The veteran has been training for his return for several weeks.

The WWE Hall of Famer has been out of action since breaking his leg at Double or Nothing. At the event, Copeland put his TNT Title on the line against Malakai Black in a Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match. As the match came to its conclusion, the veteran jumped from the top of the cage onto Black and a table below, but he awkwardly landed feet-first.

During a recent interview, Adam Copeland said he felt he was ready to “get back at it,” while Tony Khan said he expected the star back soon.
