Major AEW Star In Injury Scare Ahead Of Full Gear
A top AEW star is struggling with an injury.
In 2024, Swerve Strickland has established himself as one of the biggest and most important stars in AEW.
The former WWE man won the World Championship at Dynasty after an incredibly physical match with Samoa Joe. Strickland grew in stature as the year went on, and engaged in a series of impressive title defences before finally being beaten by Bryan Danielson at All In.
Just weeks later, Strickland was back in the ring, losing out to long-time rival Adam Page in a brutal and polarising Lights Out Cage Match at All Out. Although he took a break after the match, the star was back at WrestleDream but found himself at odds with the Hurt Syndicate. A rivalry that seems to have come at a price.

Could Injury Impact AEW Full Gear?
The injury, if legitimate, couldn’t have come at a worse time with AEW Full Gear set to come live from the Prudential Center, in Newark, New Jersey on November 23rd.
At the event, Strickland is scheduled to face Bobby Lashley, who finally became All Elite on October 30th after letting his WWE contract expire back in August. Lashley immediately linked up with old friends MVP and Shelton Benjamin as part of the Hurt Syndicate.
During a recent interview, MVP said he’s looking to give the group “the ending it deserves” after it was broken up by WWE and never brought back despite plans being in place on multiple occasions.
