Major AEW Star’s Contract Set To Expire Within Months
A new report has given a huge update on the contract status of one of AEW’s biggest names.
At Revolution, Mariah May lost a bloody battle to long-time rival “Timeless” Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s Title.
The “Hollywood Ending” capped off a storyline that began when May signed with the company back in November 2023. The British star initially served as Storm’s protégé, but the following May, she turned heel and attacked Storm after winning the Owen Hart Cup.
May then went on to beat Storm for the Women’s Title at All In, before losing it back to her great rival at Grand Slam Australia in February 2025.
The storyline around May and Storm has been credited with elevating not only the Women’s Championship but the entire women’s division. But could the company already be on the verge of losing one of its biggest stars?
AEW Star Mariah May Could Become A Free Agent
As reported via Fightful Select, many within AEW believe May’s contract is set to expire “in the summer.” While it’s unknown whether any option years are attached to her deal, one source noted they would be incredibly surprised if there aren’t as it’s unlikely May would be pushed so hard while on such a short contract.
Both May’s team and AEW haven’t commented on the news, but the company is reportedly looking to retain her services.
The British star hasn’t wrestled since losing to Storm at Revolution.
