A popular AEW star is on the comeback trail.

On July 17th, AEW celebrates the 250th episode of its flagship show Dynamite.

As predicted, the show in Little Rock, Arkansas is stacked, with Will Ospreay scheduled to defend his International Title against MJF. Meanwhile, Kazuchika Okada will be in singles action as he meets AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland, although the gold won’t be on the line.

The show could also see the return to the ring of one of AEW’s favourite sons.

Darby Allin Ready For AEW In-Ring Return

2024 has been a wild year for Darby Allin as a broken foot put pay to his plans to climb Mount Everest. He also broke his nose after being hit by a bus during his recovery. Despite the setbacks, Allin took part in Anarchy in the Arena at Double or Nothing as a late replacement for Eddie Kingston.

However, things didn’t exactly go to plan, and the face-painted star ended the match hanging upside down and being superkicked by the Young Bucks. But, it seems there’s light at the end of the tunnel after the star returned to television on the July 10th episode of Dynamite.

In a new interview with Friday Night Fights, Allin confirmed he’s been medically cleared to wrestle again.

“Dynamite 250 is actually my return again because if anyone knows, I broke my foot two months ago and then got hit by a bus and broke my nose, and then returned to the ring. I had one match, I was hung upside down with a rope and then kicked in the face with shoes that had superglued thumbtacks to the bottom of them, and the thumbtacks got stuck in my lip. It kind of messed up my septum, and blood was squirting everywhere. So I am medically cleared after all that, and I am back to rock in Little Rock. It’s gonna be fun, I got a lot of crazy stuff planned,”

As a result of his various injuries, Allin has wrestled just once since March.
