Madcap Moss Discusses The Origins Of His Ring Name
Madcap Moss’ current moniker originates from one of the best players in NFL history.
WWE SmackDown star, Madcap Moss recently appeared on The Danny Bonaduce and Sarah Morning Show and delved into how he shifted from his original Digg Rawlis gimmick to Riddick Moss, before ultimately becoming his current iteration, Madcap Moss, something, according to Madcap, has much to due with his childhood love of the Minnesota Vikings and star wide receiver, NFL Hall of Famer, Randy Moss.
“Growing up, I was a Vikings fan and a Randy Moss fan. That’s where the Moss came from. Originally, I was Riddick Moss. Riddick was just a cool name, that’s where that came from. That’s the extent of that. More recently, in the last year, I came back off an ACL tear and have been repackaged and had a rebirth, that’s where I became Madcap Moss. That came from the head man, Vince McMahon himself.”
Moss most recently appeared on WWE programming during the Clash At The Castle premium live event’s kick-off show, when he teamed up with the Street Profits to defeat Austin Theory and Alpha Academy.
The 32-year-old recently discussed which former WWE star he’d like to see return to the company, find out who Moss wants back in the company by clicking here.
