Lucha Underground Season 2 Officially Announced for 2016
Lucha Underground officially announced Season 2 will begin airing in 2016 via their social media outlets today. There’s no word yet on whether the show will continue on El Rey or on another network, but this is good news for fans of the most innovative televised wrestling show in years.

Obviously this has been something fans have been waiting on for awhile, with even Vampiro getting fed up with the lack of an announcement last week. There are still many questions to be answered following this announcement. The aforementioned question of where the show will air is first and foremost, but also where the show will be taped. There was some news last week that the cost of production in Los Angeles may cause the Temple to move elsewhere, which is bad news for yours truly since it was awesome having the tapings right in my backyard.
We’ll also have to wait and see what talent returns and who will be added to the roster, though based on the conclusion of Season 1 it’s a pretty good bet Rey Mysterio will be making a debut in the Temple. So there’s still a lot of news to come but this is obviously the announcement we’ve all been hoping for, even if we have to wait until 2016.
