No Love Lost Between Ex-WWE Star And Goldberg: “Good Riddance”

Goldberg

Goldberg getting back in the ring one more time.

In the hours before Crown Jewel, Goldberg announced he’ll be having a retirement match in 2025. There’s no word on when the match will take place or who the WWE Hall of Famer’s opponent will be.

There’s been a great deal of speculation around Goldberg in recent months after his clash with Gunther at Bad Blood. During the show, Gunther spotted the veteran at ringside, calling him a “one trick pony” adding he hoped he was a better dad than he was a wrestler.

At this, Goldberg jumped the barrier and tried to get at Gunther only to be thwarted by security.

In the weeks after the event Triple H has repeatedly hinted that the former WCW star could get back in the ring, and a deal has now been done.

Nic Nemeth Comments On Goldberg’s Retirement

Following the announcement, Nic Nemeth took to social media to claim Gunther should beat the former World Champion in short order, adding “good f’n riddance.”

On the bell, he spears & jackknife’s Gunther. G kicks out at 1. 3 minute match and good f’n riddance

The former Dolph Ziggler said Bron Breakker could also be the man to do the job.

Or it can be the Steiner kid. Relax

Goldberg defeated Nemeth back at SummerSlam 2019 in a little under two minutes. Meanwhile, he hasn’t wrestled since challenging Roman Reigns for the Universal Title at Elimination Chamber in February 2022.
