Longtime Grudge With Triple H Allegedly Behind Ex-WWE Star’s Recent Exit
Could a grudge with Triple H dating back over a decade have been the real reason WWE recently let one star leave the company?
The wrestling world was stunned when it emerged WWE was not renewing R-Truth’s contract, and his time in the company was coming to an end. The shocks kept on coming when Carlito also revealed that he was on his way out of WWE with his contract coming to an end in a matter of a couple of weeks.
WWE made a swift u-turn on R-Truth, bringing him back into the fold, but the same could not be said for Carlito, who quietly left the company. Carlito has claimed WWE disrespected their fans with the manner of his exit, and now he says he thinks it all came down to Triple H’s issues with him.
Triple H Not A Fan Of Carlito
Speaking on D-Von Dudley’s YouTube channel, Carlito explained that he thinks issues stemming from his past with Triple H are what ultimately led to him being let go at the end of his most recent deal:
I was hoping to [bury the hatchet and work well with WWE], but I think with Hunter [Triple H], there was still something from back in the day. There’s a reason I was gone 13 years, you know?
So my goal was to be the perfect employee. I’m not going to complain, I’m going to show up on time, anything they do — that’s why everything they do was on time. Anything they wanted me to do, I did. I didn’t complain.
I didn’t suck up to anybody, because that’s just not my style. But I said, ‘Hey, look, I’m just going to be a professional.’ But I guess Hunter is still not a big fan of mine. And it’s not a hit against Hunter. It’s just that he is the guy in charge.
