Long-Time Injured AEW Star Spotted Backstage At All Out
There’s been some positive news on an absent AEW star.
Adam Cole hasn’t wrestled since teaming with MJF at All Out 2023. Just weeks later at Grand Slam while doing a run-in to try and help his partner retain his World Title Cole broke his ankle while jumping from the stage to the floor.
Although he initially remained on television, his appearances became much more infrequent in 2024. But he did make a surprise appearance at Double or Nothing where he addressed Roderick Strong’s defeat to Will Ospreay only to be attacked by a returning MJF.
This was followed by a report in August that claimed Adam Cole was set to begin training for an in-ring return.
Reporting in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer revealed that Cole was not only backstage at All Out but “walking around fine.” However, there remains no official return date.
Adam Cole was backstage at the show and was said to be walking around fine. He never appeared and nobody was giving a return date for him.
Powerhouse Hobbs Getting Closer To AEW Comeback
In recent weeks there’s also been positive news on the recovery of Powerhouse Hobbs. The star has been absent since suffering a serious knee injury in a match against Jon Moxley on Dynamite back in April.
During the pre-All Out media call, Tony Khan noted that he hopes Hobbs will be back in action soon after the star visited tapings earlier that week. This was followed by a report from Fightful Select confirming Hobbs was now back on the road.
