London Mayor Determined To Land WWE WrestleMania

WWE Triple H Nick Khan London

A WWE WrestleMania in the UK isn’t off the table.

On July 25th it was revealed that Triple H and Nick Khan had travelled to London to meet Mayor Sadiq Khan. The meeting came after Sadiq Khan went public with his desire to bring WrestleMania to London back in April.

The trio met to discuss their “shared ambition” to hold WrestleMania in London. The Mayor later described the talks as “productive,” adding it was exciting to be working with the sports entertainment giant.

This meeting as well as endorsements from the likes of John Cena and Liv Morgan gave fans hope that a UK WrestleMania could be closer than ever. However, talk around an event in the UK, likely at Wembley Stadium, has cooled significantly in more recent times.

On January 20th it was reported that WrestleMania 42 in 2026 could be heading to New Orleans, while the 2027 event could land in Indianapolis.

A UK WWE WrestleMania Could Still Happen

Despite this apparent setback, a representative of Sadiq Khan told the Daily Star that the Mayor remains committing to bringing WrestleMania to the UK, and he “continues to discuss future opportunities.”

“London has great pedigree in hosting the biggest international sporting events from around the globe.

The Mayor remains determined to bring even more sports from around the world to London, including the first international WrestleMania hosted by the UK, and continues to discuss future opportunities.

The Mayor wants to cement London’s reputation as the undisputed sporting capital of the world, as we work together to build a better London for everyone.”

Meanwhile, it was recently announced that the Royal Rumble will be held in Saudi Arabia in 2026. This marks the first time the event has ever been held outside of North America.
