Logan Paul Criticized By Ex-WWE Star For Special Treatment
A former WWE superstar thinks Logan Paul has benefited from getting special treatment by the company.
Logan Paul has only wrestled in 18 matches during his WWE career, which has lasted about three years. During his run with the company, Paul has competed for the Undisputed WWE Championship against Roman Reigns and the Undisputed WWE Championship held by Cody Rhodes.
In addition to that, Paul has had singles matches with the likes of former WWE Champions Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens while also eliminating CM Punk from the Royal Rumble this year.
While Paul has put in the work in terms of training to be a WWE superstar, he also works a part-time schedule, yet he’s constantly rewarded with big matches. Paul knows how to get heat as a heel, and he’s also successful outside the ring as a YouTube star, podcaster, part-time boxer, business success with Prime, and many other things.
Baron Corbin worked for WWE for over 12 years when he found out the company wasn’t going to sign him to a new contract. He has moved on to the independent pro wrestling world using the name Bishop Dyer while his social media handles feature his real name, Tom Pestock.
During an interview on The Ariel Helwani Show, Corbin was asked if Logan Paul was respected in the WWE locker room and that led to an interesting response.
“I mean, sure. I don’t know… I just don’t like those guys that get that super special treatment. It’s not like he earned it from working his way up through NXT and getting on TV. I think he’s handed a lot of things that I think there are more deserving talent.
I can’t stand people who run around with an entourage. He’s always got an entourage. They’re nice people, but it just irritates me.
I’m protective of this industry, and when outsiders come in like that with a gold spoon or platinum spoon, or whatever spoon he’s eating off of, I struggle to really buy into it… I’ll appreciate what you do, but we’re not gonna be buddies.”
Logan Paul Plans To Call Out AJ Styles
On the road to WrestleMania 41, Logan Paul has had issues with AJ Styles, including when Raw was in New York City. Paul was bullying comedian Andrew Schulz at ringside, so Styles made the save and nailed Paul with a Phenomenal Forearm. Paul and Styles had spent weeks exchanging words before that.
Logan Paul appeared in a video message on the March 24th Raw where he called out Styles for a confrontation on Raw in London, England, on March 31st. Paul told Styles to bring his A Game and his soccer mom haircut because Paul will see him there.
While not official yet, it’s expected that Paul will face Styles at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas on April 19 & 20.
