Logan Paul Confirms WWE Contract Status
Logan Paul has spoken about his contract situation with WWE, after competing at WrestleMania 39.
Rumors circulated that Paul’s contract runs out this month, despite heading into a headline match at WrestleMania against Seth Rollins.
But after the match, Paul confirmed the current position and reflected on what it was like to compete at WWE’s biggest event on his 28th birthday.
Paul arrived to the ring on a zip wire, accompanied by a man wearing a promotional Prime bottle outfit.
Since teaming with The Miz at last year’s WrestleMania, Logan Paul has showcased tremendous athletic skill against Roman Reigns and during the Men’s Royal Rumble.
But after being asked if that could be the end of his WWE career, Paul seemed quite relaxed about the situation.
Paul told WWE reporter Cathy Kelley that he had received a text from Triple H, stating “that was fucking awesome”, before confirming that his contract has ended.
“At one point, I thought this was the worst birthday ever. It was a moment in time where I ended my rookie year on an embarrassing loss to Seth Rollins in front of 80,000 people at SoFi Stadium, I accidentally frog splashed my business partner KSI through a table and I currently have no job because my contract ended.”
“It’s not ideal, but I feel pretty good right now.”
The marquee battle was signed after Paul cost Rollins twice, first by eliminating him at the Rumble and then interfering during the US Championship match at Elimination Chamber.
Seth Rollins and Logan Paul delivered a high pace battle, not holding back on using their own bodies as weapons with Rollins using multiple suicide dives early on.
As the match unfolded, Rollins had the upper hand, until the ringside human Prime bottle got in the way, allowing Paul to take control.
Fans were shocked to discover it was in fact internet sensation and co-owner of the energy drink company, KSI under the mask.
KSI helped position Rollins on an announce table but was distracted trying to create a viral video allowing the former WWE Champion to drag KSI onto the table and be on the receiving end of a Logan Paul splash.
Just like his WWE contract, that was the end for the man with 23 million social media followers, as Rollins delivered a stomp.
Despite losing and being out of contract, an upbeat Paul said that he was off to celebrate his birthday.
“I’m going to Dave & Busters. I love Dave & Busters. My power card is full of points and I’m saving up for a drone.”
