A hot night of AEW action in Glasgow, Scotland, ended with the company taping Collision, which featured a major surprise debut.

AEW’s debut show in Scotland saw Hangman Adam Page forced into making changes in his AEW World Championship match with MJF at Forbidden Door. MJF enlisted the help of Ricochet and the Gates of Agony to trap Mark Briscoe backstage, with MJF threatening to set Briscoe alight if Page did not acquiesce to his demands.

Athena and Mercedes Mone just about stayed on the same page as they picked up a win over Toni Storm and Alex Windsor heading into Forbidden Door. Athena will challenge for the AEW Women’s World Championship in London while Mercedes Mone puts her TBS Title on the line against Windsor, CMLL’s Persephone – who watched the match very closely at ringside, and STARDOM talent, Bozilla.

The Young Bucks In Action On AEW Collision

After Dynamite was done, Tony Khan welcomed the fans to Collision with eight matches on the card. The full spoilers for the show are below:

  • Sky Flight Team and Hiromu Takahashi defeated The Don Callis Family’s Hechicero, Josh Alexander, Lance Archer, and Rocky Romero. After the match, Kyle Fletcher emerged to stare down Takahashi ahead of their TNT Title match at Forbidden Door.
  • Former WWE star Isla Dawn made her surprise AEW debut in her hometown but had the unenviable task of trying to defeat Megan Bayne. Bayne dominated the match and finished off Dawn with a running sit-down powerbomb.
  • Willow Nightingale and Queen Aminata defeated Skye Blue and Julia Hart. Thekla attacked after the bout with Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford also reemerging to take the fight to Nightingale and Aminata. Harley Cameron attempted to make the save before Kris Statlander was able to clear out the heels and leave the four babyfaces standing tall.
  • Max Caster Five Minute Open Challenge – Who could survive five with the best wrestler alive? IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Zack Sabre Jr. could and needed just two minutes and twenty-three seconds to make the unfortunate Caster tap out. After the match, Anthony Bowens attacked his former partner before Billy Gunn stopped him. Bowens and Gunn squared up to each other before Bowens made the wise decision to leave.
  • In perhaps the match of the entire night, G1 Climax winner Konosuke Takeshita defeated Tomohiro Ishii in a typically hard-hitting contest.
  • Big Bill received possibly the loudest reaction of the night as the Glasgow crowd were firmly behind the 7ft star dismantling Mark Andrews. Bill looked somewhat surprised and delighted that the fans took him to their heart.
  • Gates of Agony defeated Grizzled Young Veterans – Ricochet was on commentary for the match and had several chants alluding to his baldness directed at him throughout.
  • The Young Bucks defeated Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong – A classic Bucks match saw them receive no interest with ring announcer Arkady Aura introducing them as Rod and Tod, a nod to their Flanders counterparts. Kazuchika Okada ran in to help his Elite friends pick up the win, but after the match, Swerve Strickland made his presence felt ahead of their match at Forbidden Door. Strickland was foiled by The Elite and sold a leg injury as he was helped from the ring.
  • Tony Khan brought out NJPW President Hiroshi Tanahashi for the live crowd to say good night, and five hours after the first ring introductions began in the OVO Hydro, the show was over.
