Reason Behind Liv Morgan’s Shocking WWE Survivor Series Return Revealed
Liv Morgan made a surprise return at WWE Survivor Series.
In June 2025, things took a rough turn for Morgan during a match on Monday Night Raw against Kairi Sane.
Just moments into the action, Sane hit a single-leg takedown, and Liv landed awkwardly on her right shoulder, popping it out of place.
She was in serious pain, rolling out of the ring, and the ref had no choice but to call it off, handing Sane the win by forfeit. Medical folks rushed in, and Liv got helped backstage right away.
WWE doctors figured she’d be out for several months, missing the rest of 2025, with a comeback eyed for early 2026 around the Royal Rumble in January.
Liv Morgan Returned At WWE Survivor Series
However, Liv made a shocking comeback at Survivor Series: WarGames on November 29, where she helped Dominik Mysterio to defeat John Cena and win the Intercontinental Championship.
It happened while the referee was knocked out. She hinted at turning on Mysterio, but moments later hit Cena below the belt, which allowed Mysterio to capitalize and pin The Last Real Champion.
The couple celebrated the victory in the ring and later during the Survivor Series post-show. During the post-show, Liv Morgan also revealed why she returned at Survivor Series.
Morgan said, “As great as it’s been watching Dominik thrive and have so much fun without me, I thought today of all days, I’d just show up. Pop up a little surprise.” [H/T WrestleTalk on X]
When Liv Morgan left for her hiatus, she was one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions with Raquel Rodriguez. Roxanne Perez filled her spot in her absence and lost the title.
Perez even tried to make some advances toward Mysterio during Liv’s absence. With Liv back in WWE, it’d be interesting to see how the whole Perez-Liv drama will unfold.
