Liv Morgan Compares Current WWE Women’s World Title Run To Her Past

Liv Morgan WWE Women's World Champion

Liv Morgan believes she is “levels above” where she was in the past as a champion in WWE.

It seemed like the deck was stacked against WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan at Bad Blood in Atlanta, but she was still able to leave the PLE holding the title she carried into her showdown with Rhea Ripley.

During the match, Liv’s on-screen boyfriend Dominik Mysterio was put into a Shark Cage, which was put in the aisle and raised about 20 feet in the air. Dominik managed to open the door, but then he got his legs hooked to the cage and he was caught upside down. That led to Ripley attacking Dominik with a kendo stick.

While Ripley was attacking Dominik, Morgan had a plan because her good friend Raquel Rodriguez was back after a long layoff due to health issues. Rodriguez beat up Ripley right in front of the referee, which led to a disqualification finish.

That finish at Bad Blood was not what WWE had planned because it was reported that Raquel was supposed to attack Ripley leading to Morgan getting a pinfall win, but the referee saw Raquel’s attack, so he couldn’t justify not doing a DQ finish.

Liv Morgan Believes She Is Levels Above Her WWE Past

It was two years ago at WWE Money in the Bank 2022 when Liv Morgan cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase on Ronda Rousey to win her first Smackdown Women’s Title. After a 97-day title reign (just over three months), Morgan lost the title back to Rousey.

The Smackdown World Title has since been renamed the Women’s World Title and Morgan has held it since beating Becky Lynch at WWE King and Queen of the Ring on May 25th, which means she has held it for over 130 days.

While speaking at the WWE Bad Blood Post-Show Press Conference, Morgan made it clear she’s a lot better now compared to when she was a champion in the past.

“I am levels and levels and levels and levels above where I was when I beat Ronda Rousey for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. I was over the moon, I couldn’t believe it. When I won this women’s world championship this time, I knew it, I felt it. It was exactly what it was supposed to be, the Liv Morgan Revenge Tour.”

“Do you understand how it feels to say something, and no one believes that you’re gonna do what you say? Not even Rhea believed that I was gonna do it. I told her to her face, ‘I’m gonna take everything that you love, and she still didn’t believe me. Now look, I have my championship, I have my boyfriend, Daddy Dom, and I have my family, the Judgment Day.”

Part of what Liv Morgan said there is a storyline, but there is a lot of truth to it as well.
