Liv Morgan Expresses Sadness About WWE Cutting Back On Live Events

Liv Morgan has revealed her sadness at WWE running fewer Live Events in future.

Having typically toured the globe with over 300 Live Events during a calendar year, WWE has taken the decision to reduce this number to 250 for 2024 with TKO President Mark Shapiro announcing recently that the number would reduce even further in 2025.

Whilst many believe that the decision is a positive one that will help to lengthen the in-ring careers of the talent, current WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan feels that Superstars may take longer to reach the top level.

Speaking with the ‘New York Post‘, Morgan shared her feelings that a reduction in non-televised events, also known as house shows, would give wrestlers less opportunities to gain experience in the ring infront of a live audience:

“I’m sad to see them kind of go a little bit because the house shows are so much fun and it’s so, so much more intimate.

House shows are truly for the love of the game. House shows are for the love of the art of wrestling, performing and being with the fans and interacting with fans on a more intimate level.

Also for me, I feel like that’s when I got good, having so many reps on these live events in 2017, ’18, ’19. I was doing every single live event. But it helped me get so much better because I was getting all these reps.

I’m sad to see that go for the newer guys and girls coming in who aren’t going to be able to have that experience and have (those) reps at live events under (their) belt but it is what is. Time home is always nice. We spend so much time away from family and friends. It’s nice, but I do love live events.”

Liv Morgan Reflects On Early Career Struggles

Liv Morgan has enjoyed an outstanding 2024 in WWE, cementing herself as one of the company’s top female talents after lifting the Women’s World Championship and featuring prominently in key storylines on WWE Raw.

Things haven’t always been quite as positive for the talented 30 year old, however.

Morgan recently reflected on the early stages of her career, candidly revealing issues with her confidence.
