Liv Morgan Teasing New Character Direction After Extreme Rules

Liv Morgan may be changing her WWE persona a bit following her championship loss at Extreme Rules.

During an Extreme Rules Match that fittingly took place at Extreme Rules on Saturday, October 8th, Ronda Rousey soundly defeated Liv Morgan to regain the Smackdown Women’s Champion.

To Liv’s credit, she put up a fight during the match. Morgan competed with the dominating Rousey by using weapons throughout the match including a baseball bat that Morgan brought to the ring during her entrance. Morgan also had an impressive move during the match when she jumped off the top rope and put Rousey through a table.

Shortly after the table spot, Rousey managed to make the comeback and get a submission using an armbar on Morgan, who passed out from the pain. The interesting thing about the submission is that Morgan had a sadistic smile on her face, almost like she was enjoying it. With Morgan passing out, the referee called for the bell and Rousey was awarded the Smackdown Women’s Title that she lost to Morgan back in July.

After the match, WWE posted a video of Morgan refusing to talk to interviewer Megan Morant. Instead, Morgan sat in a darkened area backstage and simply stared ahead without saying a word.

Morgan’s run as Smackdown Women’s Champion lasted 98 days. Morgan won the title from Rousey after winning Money in the Bank in July and cashing in the briefcase/contract on Rousey later that evening. Morgan escaped with the title against Rousey at SummerSlam and Morgan also beat Shayna Baszler at Clash at the Castle as well.

As for Rousey, she is now a two-time Smackdown Women’s Champion.
