Lita Linked With Surprise WWE In-Ring Return

Lita could get back in the ring.

During Halloween Havoc it was announced that Lola Vice would meet Jaida Parker in a Hardcore Match on the November 6th episode of NXT. Not only is the show a special Wednesday edition of the show, but it will also come live from the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia. The venue is of course better known to wrestling fans as the ECW Arena.

As such, that match will have a very special guest referee, ECW legend Dawn Marie. The star who made her name in the original ECW in the 1990s made her most recent appearance on WWE television at One Night Stand in 2005.

Shortly after the event, Marie was released from her contract while pregnant and on maternity leave.

Lita To Make WWE Return?

It’s now been reported that Marie might not be the only former WWE and ECW star appearing on the show. According to a new report from Fightful Select, Lita has been in talks about wrestling on the show as part of an eight or ten-woman tag team match.

Lita hasn’t wrestled since teaming with Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 39. On the episode of Raw following the event, the Hall of Famer was written off television after being attacked by Stratus. Lita made a brief return to television on an episode of NXT that November before disappearing from the spotlight.

The former Women’s Champion appeared in ECW throughout 1999 as Miss Congeniality.

Meanwhile, it’s been reported that another WWE Hall of Famer is backstage at the Performance Center ahead of the October 29th episode of NXT.
