Lilian Garcia Makes WWE Return After Surprise Departure

Following Samantha Irvin’s surprise exit from WWE, the company brought in a familiar face to handle ring announcing duties on Raw.

Samantha Irvin enjoyed something of a meteoric rise as a ring announcer in WWE, joining the main roster less than a year after originally joining the company. Irvin won legions of fans with her powerful voice, her unique introductions for the likes of Chelsea Green, and her emotional responses to huge moments as displayed at WrestleMania 40 when through tears she announced Cody Rhodes as the Undisputed WWE Champion for the very first time.

That is why WWE fans were left stunned when Samantha Irvin announced her exit from the promotion just hours before Raw in Philadelphia went on the air.

Lilian Garcia Replaces Samantha Irvin On WWE Raw

WWE had an ace up their sleeve, however, as former long-time ring announcer Lilian Garcia made her return to the company to handle the ring announcing duties on Raw once again.

Lilian Garcia debuted in WWE back in 1999 spending a decade with the company before leaving in 2009. Garcia returned in 2012 and stayed until 2016 before leaving her role once again. She made a special appearance on Raw alongside Samantha Irvin back in May when she announced a match between Kofi Kingston and Gunther.
