Lilian Garcia Delighted As WWE Future Laid Bare

Lilian Garcia shocked everyone when she made her return to Raw and it seems the ring announcer is here to stay in WWE.

Samantha Irvin surprised everyone when she announced her WWE exit just hours before Raw went live in Philadelphia. However, it seemed the company had a plan in place as former Raw ring announcer Lilian Garcia returned to the show to take over from Irvin.

Lilian Garcia appeared with Irvin back in May which could well have been a rehearsal for what was to come but she was last working full-time with WWE back in 2016.

Lilian Garcia Overwhelmed To Be Back In WWE

Following her unexpected WWE return, Garcia took to social media to break her silence on the move and confirm she’s back with the company on a full-time basis:

Well, now you know! Oh my gosh guys, did that just happen? Did I just really go back to the WWE after being gone for like eight years?! I mean, I’ve popped in every now and then but it’s been eight years since I was a full-time announcer there.

My goodness, when my music hit and I got introduced, and the cheers and the applause and the roar that you gave me tonight. Thank you, thank you for that because I was nervous, I was so nervous, I could even tell when I started announcing I was nervous. But it’s all worth it, it’s all worth taking a risk and a gamble and just being excited and just coming back.

Just seeing everybody between the WWE Superstars and also my friends and reuniting with the crew. I don’t know where this is all going but I’m excited and I’m strapping on my seatbelt for that.

Lilian Garcia also added a message to outgoing WWE ring announcer Samantha Irvin as she wished her all the success with what comes next in her career:

Sam I do wanna tell you I think you’re an extraordinary talent, you’re unbelievable. And I know it could not have been easy to walk away from here but I wish you all the success in your music career. I know you’re gonna kill it.

Ok but WWE Universe, I look forward to seeing you, I look forward to signing autographs and high-fiving and all of that. I love you. I’m back! I’m back home.

The real reason for Samantha Irvin’s departure from WWE seems to have been revealed as an immediate switch to AEW has been ruled out.
