Likely AEW Venue For New Stadium Show Revealed

As speculation mounts over a stadium show for AEW in Texas, the front-runner for a venue has seemingly emerged.

On July 15th it was reported that AEW is planning to hold a massive show in Dallas, Texas in 2025. The event would reportedly be on the scale of the company’s biggest event which is All In at Wembley Stadium in front of around 80,000 fans.

For context, the biggest show AEW has ever held in the United States is Grand Slam at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York, with a record attendance of just over 20,000. Although details were thin on the ground, there were suggestions an announcement could come before the end of the year.

Does AEW Have Texas Stadium In Mind?

Fightful Select has now reported that despite suggestions that AEW could attempt to run AT&T Stadium – the home of WrestleMania 32 and 38 – the more likely destination for Tony Khan’s company in Dallas would be the Globelife Stadium – better known as Globe Life Field – the home to MLB’s Texas Rangers.

The record attendance for that venue is 43,598 which was achieved for a Morgan Wallen concert in 2022 and it has a regular capacity of 40,300 for baseball games.

Despite the rumours surrounding the show, AEW boss Tony Khan recently ruled out another stadium show for his company “in the immediate future” but did note that it is an “exciting idea.”
