Why Lex Luger Really Missed WWE WrestleMania 41
WWE Hall of Famer Lex Luger has revealed the real reason he was not on hand to have his moment in the spotlight at WrestleMania 41.
Lex Luger was honoured by WWE by being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. The former WCW World Champion was inducted at the ceremony by Diamond Dallas Page, who has been instrumental in getting the Total Package back on his feet.
The WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2025 was given their moment at WrestleMania 41 with Steve Austin, Bret Hart – eye-roll and all, Michelle McCool, Typhoon and the family of the late Earthquake, and Triple H all taking in the applause of the fans in the Allegiant Stadium.
However, Lex Luger was notable by his absence.
Lex Luger Misses WrestleMania
Speaking on the Ariel Helwani Show, Lex Luger explained that given the exertions of the WWE Hall of Fame, he simply wasn’t able to make it to WrestleMania:
It’s wild how that stuff catches fire. With all that happened, the next day on Saturday, I could hardly get out of bed. I called the guys and they were cool about it.
They said, ‘Look, we’d love to have you down there. Let’s see how you feel later in the day,’ but it was obvious by later in the afternoon that I wasn’t going to be able to get out there.
